*Attaching pins must move freely in their bores. Address this before continuing.

  • Pins must move easily with hand pressure. Remove allen head pipe plugs from rear of plate.
  • Align locking pin in pipe plug hole by moving latching lever up or down.
  • Drive locking pin from front of plate to rear, exiting pipe plug hole.


For square tube mounting plates:

  • Remove snap ring from pivot pin.
  • Remove pin.

For round tube mounting plates:

  • Remove bolt and nut from handle pivot.
  • Remove handle and spring assembly.
  • Remove handle from spring assembly by removing 12 point bolt from spring. Place spring assembly into cam. Secure 12 point bolt.
  • Install cam and spring into mounting plate.
  • Align locking pin with latch pin and spring assembly. Drive pin flush with mounting plate front.

For square tube mounting plates:

  • Align pivot pin and washers (of needed) in cam to mounting plate. Secure with snap ring.

For round tube mounting plates:

  • Align pivot bolt and bushing in cam to mounting plate. Secure with nut.
  • Install actuator. Actuator rod can be turned to extend or retract to aid in installation.
  • Fasten actuator with 1/2 inch bolts and nuts.
  • Connect power cable (red) with fuse to battery, battery terminal of starter or jump start.
  • Connect negative cable (black) to frame or engine ground. Mount switch using supplied plate or use blank cavity in panel.
  • Secure boom cable to boom with cable ties. Carefully route cable along boom avoiding possible pinch areas. Following aux hydraulic lines and hoses often works well.
